Too Clever
Too Clever · +15150 m depthThe go-to “obscure” pick that isn’t actually that obscure (official FAQ).
Example shape: The witty answer everyone reaches for — scored below a real Deep Cut.
Plankton
Plankton · +10100 m depthThe answer everyone blurts out.
Example shape: The first word that comes to mind for the prompt.
How a tier is chosen
Per the official FAQ, some prompts can be scored mechanically against how often a word shows up in what people read and write. Others need a mix of model assistance and a manual pass. The One in a Krillion gem is not rarity alone — past a certain depth the game also picks for “fun factor,” so a Deep Cut can sometimes feel rarer than the gem.
Why the same answer shifts day to day → rarity explained. Points to metres → scoring.
